Verdant Rooms

Class: 2

Level 2 is an open expanse of faded green concrete. The paint on the walls is flaking off in some places, leaving the concrete bare and gray. The floor of this level is bland gray concrete, which is chipped and smashed in some sections. This concrete layer is around one meter thick, and below that there is solid dirt. People have reported finding small caves within the dirt, which is also full of worms. The roof is the same, minus the damage, and a slightly lighter color. Vegetation is quite common on level 2. There are mosses and grass growing everywhere, a pleasant change from level 1. The plants tend to grow inside of the small cracks that are abundant in the old concrete floors. There are also occasionally slime molds. This level has a strange effect on people. When someone enters this level, they will feel a sensation of peace that is commonly felt on class 1 levels, even though this level is still not perfectly safe. Threats are rare, but still exist. Looking around, there is an infinite, sparse forest, with the slightly scraggly trees growing in small patches of dirt or cracks in the concrete. Despite the level being quite empty, the visibility is quite low, at only around 200 meters. There may be some rooms with light tan carpets. Farms producing vegetables and fruits are also common. Areas sometimes contain stoves and cupboards. The stoves are somehow functional, even though they are not plugged in or even running off of a generator. The cupboards may contain Almon’t Water, food, and/or other supplies. The cupboards themselves are made of a lightly colored wood with a nice finish and metal handles. Unfortunately, they are empty most of the time. These living-spaces, as one could call them, are a mix of retro design along with modern. There are commonly radios and jukeboxes around these areas, but the structure of the rooms is sleek and new age. This level has 1 unique entity, called a Vine. Vines are light green vines that are about 4 centimeters thick. They will attempt to strangle you but will never attack if you are carrying something hot. They move quite fast, so it is advised to cut them when you see them. They are the leading cause of death on level 2. Some areas of the walls are crumbling. The concrete is extremely tough, despite having no rebar reinforcements. This level is similar to level 1 in structure, as they are both open and filled with small structures. There may be oogas or boogas here. Hallulights are also semi-common here, though they are less helpful than usual. They will usually float off in the distance, doing whatever they do. There are sometimes rusted sections of metal that connect the green walls, which are of varying heights. Rarely, there are small structures that appear to be garages. The roofs of these garages are made of old, oxidized, blue copper. The garages are not technically garages, but that is one of the best ways to describe them. The roofs can collapse downward to close off the open wall of the room. The rooms usually contain old wooden shelves or cardboard boxes. It is bright on this level, with light coming from strange, greenish glowing cubes of light on the ceiling. They emit light very similar to sunlight, once again connecting this level to the outdoors. The previously mentioned fog on this level is a light blue color similar to that of a sky due to the lights. These lights sometimes fall and reveal a cloudy blue sky past the main section of the level. If you climb out of the hole, you reach a strange area that is not very well documented. There is no oxygen here, so leave immediately. Despite the lack of oxygen or any atmosphere in general, people report hearing empty wind sounds and seeing sparse trees here. You can get to multiple levels from here, Levels 1, 3, 8, 19, and 202. Levels 1 and 3 can be accessed through noclipping, and you have a small chance of being sent to level 8 while sleeping. 202 can be accessed by finding its signature circle of rocks, and level 19 can be reached by sleeping in a bed of moss, though the chance of this happening is rare. Level 2 is one of the most important levels, with many groups living here due to its hospitable nature. Bases are quite common here, and as with level 1, there are too many to list here. There is a large CCOEG outpost, the main base of The Verdant group, the former base of the attackers, and a small group of veterans from the war with attackers. Being one of the lower and more commonly accessed levels, level two has had a few large events happen on it, like the discovery of the attackers’ plans.
