Facts

19 inch early 90's set. Very similar to the JVC C2019 in specs. Unlike the JVC C2019, this TV does not work. Based off of what I saw inside, it looks like there was some sort of power surge that blew the fuse and busted a few resistors. It may have also fried they jungle chip, as it looks to me like the chassis had been worked on before. I don't remember when, but there was some date scribbled inside that was I think 1998? Don't know.

How I got it

This was my second ever CRT. I was sitting in the church, talking about gifts I could get someone. As a joke, I said "The Anarchists Cookbook," and somebody who was walking by was like "what??" and then I yapped a little and don't remember how but I ended up saying I liked old TVs, and they said something along the lines of "hey i have one!" so... a week or two later this guy showed up at my door. Unlike the JVC C2019, where I just plugged it in and went full send, I had learned about the dangerous high voltage, and cleaned out the dust before I plugged it in. It didn't work.

Review

I really love the design of the TV, espcially the light gold accents and the controls on the side, but due to its similarity to the JVC C2019, and that it doesn't work, gets this only a 5/10.

Can a cat sit on your flatscreen? Didn't think so. Tubes are better than flatscreens.

Side profile.

This TV has it's main board on the side, which I've only seen in this one.
