Mudhalls
Level One is the first level you can enter the oogarooms in. It is made of cracked mud bricks and has trees in many areas. The bricks are of a lightish tan color and are about six by five by twelve centimeters. They are somewhat fragile if struck with enough force. The Mudhalls are a somewhat open level, and there are many copper pipes with no use going between the many walls. Almost everything here, the walls, roofs, floors, are made of mud bricks. There are also parts of abandoned steampunk machinery in areas. The machinery is not too common. Most of the machines do nothing useful or are outright broken, but a select few have functions like ovens, furnaces, hydraulic presses, and more. This is also a place where you may encounter oogas and boogas, some dangerous entities. There is usually about one entity per three square kilometers, so it is not too bad. Still, you should be careful. Loud noises may attract them, and on this level, noise travels far. Sometimes, there are areas where the pipes and other bits of machinery converge into a small footprint of around fifteen meters squared, and these facilities can be used to enter the main base. There will usually be a door on one side, which you can go through to enter the main base at the first door. There may also be patches of grass here, which appear much less commonly than the moss that is found here. Mangrove and other swamp-native trees are present in small terrariums without walls, which also resemble a swamp. The ground in these terrariums is made of dark, sticky mud. These structures are on the more common side of things. There will sometimes be broken versions of these in darker areas. When there are, people have reported seeing oogas and boogas try to mop the spilled water up and place down wet floor signs. There may be house-like structures here, which contain supplies. These structures can be spotted by their castle/house like appearances, and the abundance of vines growing around them. They will almost always contain wooden crates of supplies, making them very to stop by. The floor of these structures also tend to be made of wood. On the roof, there are sometimes vines. There are several types of other structures that can spawn here, a few of which will be listed. Piles of wood can be found, usually swamp or common northern forest varieties. Similar to those, piles of cut wood, like planks and doors, can be found in piles. These usually appear to be freshly cut, with piles of sawdust and machining marks left in them. It is advised to stay away from them, as sometimes burrowers will inhabit them. Also splinters. Empty halls are another common structure here, and they are (usually) small, thin halls that have wooden floors. The last of the common structures is the stairs. The stairs spawn somewhat infrequently but are common enough to include here. They come in two varieties, exposed and closed. The exposed version is a single wooden flight of stairs that extends from ceiling to floor. Most of the time, they are completely closed off, but sometimes will lead into level 39 or 2. The next type, the closed ones, are slightly less common and more or less the same. Instead of being open, they have walls surrounding them and sometimes a door blocking the entrance. In some places, the roofs are a bit higher and there are wooden catwalks or towers that are unreliably supported by a mishmash of trusses. The risk of climbing these may be worth it, though, as they will commonly have decent supplies. Below these trusses, there tend to be small living room-like areas, with televisions, couches, desks and other things one would expect to see in a den. The lights on this level are old, 1980’s fluorescent lights, which seem out of place here. They are somewhat unreliable, with one out of thirty lights being broken in some way. They are unusually quiet for being fluorescent. The roof itself is somewhat tall, being six meters off of the ground. This level is dark in some areas, but mostly bright and safe. The darker it is, the more crowded the level will be, as in there will be more structures. The darkest areas will tend to have mini forests in them, which are extremely dense. They are also quite hard to navigate. However, they are a critical source of lumber on this level and are cultivated. The largest of these forests have been known to be a few kilometers in size. Another weird thing about level one is the lack of dust. There is no dust anywhere in the level. The only common entities here are oogas and boogas, which are somewhat dangerous. More rarely, you can find the previously mentioned burrowers. You can exit by noclipping, which sends you to level 2. You can also exit by finding one of the pipe facilities to enter the main base. Another way of entering the main base is to find a blacked-out area where you can see no light. Once you find one, you can keep walking forwards through it, and you will eventually end up in the main base. You can use one of the staircases to get to level 39 or 2. Enter by falling through the ground or running into a wall and noclipping. This initial noclip must be done while in reality. You can also enter by dying on any other level. Being the first level out of hundreds, and one of the easiest to enter due to death sending you here, there are far too many bases to list here. Most of them are centered around pipe facilities or other entrances to the main base. The most prominent of these bases are CCOEG’s Ground Zero with 2,300 residents, as of 2077, TOTG’s mun-muns central with 780 members as of 2077, and The Mudhalls Republic, with 980 members. The Mudhalls Republic is quite new, only being founded in 2065. They were founded after the leader and a few of their followers decided that CCOEG was being too overreaching and controlling. Level 1 has also been the site of many other important historical events, like the military war and one of the first levels to be visited by the colossal after it was set free, and it was probably the first level to be created.
