duck military
Level 25 is a large desolate desert with no trees, rocks, or animals, just an endless expanse of dunes. The dunes are always in the perfect condition to make sound (grain size, silica content, humidity), so you will hear lots of sound. It is also quite windy, so whooshing sounds are constant. At the center of the level you will find a large military base, as mentioned in the level’s title. The base is about 9.5 square km wide and has many buildings. Inside the walls of the base, you can find small trees and large rocks, with inefficient winding dirt and trodden gravel paths. The top is sort of open, and there are buildings in clusters. There are usually just buildings such as barracks or small tents on the surface, but at the center of the base, there is a massive turret almost ½km across, surrounded by a massive circle of caution tape, so do not cross this unless you’re sure what you’re doing. It is dome-shaped with a massive cylindrical barrel on it. There is a door on the back, but make sure to sneak around to the door and then make a dash for it, as if the turret manages to target on you, it will begin to create a massive energy ball at the front of the barrel, and after about ten seconds, it will shoot a massive beam, from which there is no escape. Inside the turret, there is a massive maze of cogs, gears, wires, and other random machinery. At the center there is a ladder that leads up to the control room. There are lots of random controls that seem to do nothing, but if you are pushing any button or messing with the controls, the turret will not be active. The ladder also leads down, into a complex of metal-clad corridors and rooms. There are kitchens, sleeping quarters, map rooms of random levels, and other rooms you would find in a military base. You can rarely find food in kitchen or cafeteria rooms, and the maps are very helpful, as they are usually of insignificant sections of undiscovered levels, but sometimes they are of large sections of discovered levels, and it’s even better when it’s a non-Euclidian or a level that changes its layout, because the map will change to stay accurate. Chef ducks will make food once a day, but there are usually lots of ducks near them when that happens. The ducks have guns always with them, so they pose quite a threat, but if you feed them duck seed, they will be friendly. Ducks travel in large groups but are easy to avoid at the surface, but they travel by themselves underground, and there are lots. Hiding from them is your best bet. You can enter this level by noclipping on level 24, and you can exit by wandering far enough into the desert to be sent to level 56, or by finding the odd Victorian style room and climbing up a ladder in the corner to be sent to level 27.
