Factory
The factory level is made up of two types of layers. The first layer is the lab, which has gray tile floors with cracks on them, and pristine white walls. The ceiling is dotted with large fluorescent lamps, making this layer quite well lit. The halls are claustrophobic, only being one meter wide at most. There are small rooms scattered about. Laying in random piles are mechanical parts like wiring or actuators, and there is a very high amount of piping around. There may also be colored glass ampules on gray or black shelves filled with inert gases. There are a lot of doors here, which seem to close when you are not looking at them. You can find staircases up to the next layer, but the staircases only go between pairs of the layers on this level. The pairs of layers will continue up around 7400 times, as estimated by the CCOEG. To get to a different pair than you started at, you must find an elevator. The elevators are very slow at about 1m per 30 seconds. The elevators can only go up. You can also find conveyor belts, but more on that later. The second layer is very dark, and has dark stone and gray concrete walls, with dark stone floors and occasional carpets. There are many chains hanging from pulleys or just randomly around this level, along with more copper pipes. This layer is much less claustrophobic, with halls even getting up to 5 meters at most. You might find a meeting room, featuring a large table surrounded by chairs, for some reason, these tables have jars of pickles that will regenerate every so often, so it’s a good source of food. There are also benches and shelves on this layer. The most common entity here are boogas, which like to hide behind closed doors, so watch out! Food isn’t super common, but you can also find it sometimes on shelves on this layer in the form of stale bread, so yeah. There are also conveyor belts up here, which are usually in random places but sometimes lead up or down, but it’s usually a tight fit, and many people have gotten trapped halfway between the layers and died. There is a mechanical hum across the level, and following it leads you to an engine room, with a loud big steam engine in a room that stretches both layers. The lights flicker often on the lower floor, but the closer you get to an engine room the less they flicker. The farther you are, the more boogas there are, so be careful, and even though there’s more food on the top floor, there's also more boogas there too. You can get here by noclipping on level 3 in a room that looks like the first layer of this level. You can escape this level by noclipping in a freezer on the top floor to reach level 5, but these are more common farther from engine rooms, and it’s usually pitch black around them.
