Cardboard Construction
Level 7 is one of the most heavily inhabited levels, despite having some major downsides. The construction of level 7 resembles that of a cardboard fort that you would find in a child’s room. The roof is usually 1-1.3 meters off the ground, though certain larger rooms have higher roofs. The level is held together by duct tape of varying color and age, which commonly shows. The cardboard here is mostly unmarked brown cardboard, though there are variations. The most common variations are blue, yellow, purple colored, or faded and more rarely, cardboard with markings of where it was shipped from and such. All of the shipping information says that it was mailed to a person named Jellie Sanders. Level 7 is the first level to be confirmed to be finite, at around 60000 by 32000 kilometers. There are occasionally watchtowers around this level that let you view large areas of the cardboard. The watchtowers are filled with stairs, and the towers are around 150 meters tall. The watchtowers are constructed of a concrete or rock-like material, one that you may find in a garage, which has been wrapped tightly with cardboard and masking tape. The atmosphere here is thin and hard to breathe in, unlike the inside of the main maze. The sky is a thick gray mist, reducing visibility to around 200 meters. There are structures around level 7 known as cat boxes, which are 2x2 meters in size. These boxes are very loosely taped down and can be taken from their original positions easily, allowing for mass farming of them. The cat boxes are not considered a structure-level, as they only spawn on level 7. They will generate food every 24 hours, though you can use booga bucks to get the refill early. Cats (the entity, not animal,) will sometimes appear around these boxes. The cats are anomalous (check cat entity description for more information). A normal cat box comes around about once every 400 meters, but due to the levels maze-like structure, they are somewhat rare. Even rarer are black cat boxes, of which only thirteen have ever been found. They give much more material and regenerate every twelve hours, with the major downside of not producing cat entities. They are slightly larger, being 2.3x2.3 meters in size, and have a metallic sheen to them. There are no hostile entities on level 7, making it a prime candidate for creating a permanent base. The level is bright and well-lit most of the time, though dark areas exist. The light on level 7 comes from holes in the roof with flashlights poking through. The construction of level 7 is somewhat unstable at times, with the roof being collapsed in some places. These broken areas allow one to access the outer zone, which are the gray mists. The gray mists are the previously mentioned area one can see from the watchtowers. The floor of this area is the roof of the main area, so it is not flat, with large fluctuations and towers protruding from it. It is also not very stable, because cardboard is not the strongest material. People commonly fall through the roof while walking on top of it. Some groups have carved out large paths across the level, allowing for faster travel. Level 7 has many, many settlements due to the abundance of supplies. Despite this, the winding and thin structure of level 7 makes it rather hard to find bases. Still, level 7 remains one of the best, if not the best, options for finding a group to live in, if you don’t mind crawling. You can exit level 7 in a couple of ways. The first way is to find a rusted metal door to enter level 10. You can exit to level 9 by finding an area where the level turns white and has paintings, like level 9 is seeping through. There will be a tunnel into the ceiling, which leads to this one. Entering level 7 is also easy to do. You can noclip from level 6, find a cardboard box on level 5, or by sleeping in level 236. You can also enter by finding an inverse of the level 9 entrance on level 9. There are way too many settlements to list here, but the most important one is the main base of goodgroup1000.
